S. E. Webb considers herself a storyteller with an overactive imagination. Her southern Appalachian roots are obvious in many of her stories as they revolve around having had the freedom of running the woods as a child. Her writing also reflects the challenges of living in the modern world with stories involving the dark side of human nature. For those who prefer lighter reading and humor, she includes laugh-out-loud moments and a touch of ridiculousness, all with the same no-nonsense writing style that is uniquely her own.
Her debut book, Storytelling in 101 Words, is a compilation of flash fiction stories covering multiple themes and genres. Although she has been writing most of her life, her introduction to self-publishing has been recent. As a writer who has a short story addiction, once she discovered flash fiction, she realized she could fulfill a desire to write while also pursuing other interests, including cloud watching and cat wrangling.
In addition to short stories and flash fiction, the author is busy at work on a literary novel, Storytelling in 101; Book Two, and a short story compilation.

Sleet stung her face and coated her uncovered head as she tucked her chin lower in the frayed collar of her jacket. The jacket did little to keep her warm but it was all she had to wear. The frigid winter wind cut through her as she walked the three blocks to the corner...
